VPN for Linux
On computers with 64-bit Linux Yak VPN works through the Happ app: packages for Ubuntu, Debian, Mint, Fedora and openSUSE.
How to connect
- Download Happ on the download page: .deb for Ubuntu, Debian and Mint or .rpm for Fedora and openSUSE.
- Install the package with a double click or with “sudo apt install ./file-name.deb” (for .rpm — “sudo dnf install ./file-name.rpm”).
- Open your Yak VPN account, sign up with your e-mail and copy the subscription link.
- Paste it into Happ with the “+” button and connect.

Questions and answers
Which distributions are supported?
.deb — Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint and derivatives; .rpm — Fedora, openSUSE and derivatives; there is also a package for Arch.
Is there a Yak VPN app of its own for Linux?
There is a beta version (.deb and AppImage) on the download page. We recommend Happ as the main app.
How many devices can I connect?
It depends on the plan: Young Yak — up to 3 devices, Great Yak — up to 5, Big Yak — up to 10 plus 2 separate links for your family. Phone, tablet, computer and TV share one subscription. The free plan is one device.
How can I pay?
By card, SBP, Telegram Stars or crypto — in your account on the website or in the @yakvpnbot bot. The first 3 days are free, no card required.
What if the VPN is slow?
Pick another country or “Auto”: the app compares latency and connects to the fastest server. If that does not help, write to support — it works around the clock.
